Under this program, Canadian citizens and permanent residents can sponsor close family members for Canadian immigration. These include Spousal Sponsorship , Child Sponsorship & Parents sponsorship.

Spousal Sponsorship Canada

Under this program, Canadian citizens and permanent residents can sponsor their spouse for canadian immigration. There are two types of sponsorship. Outland sponsorship, and Inland sponsorship

• In the case of Outland sponsorship, the sponsored person resides outside Canada. In such case, the application for permanent residence must be submitted at the visa office where he or she has resided legally for at least one year or at his or her country of origin.
• In the case of Inland sponsorship, the couple must be in Canada and the foreign spouse/common-law partner must have temporary status in Canada, either as a worker, student, or visitor.

Child Sponsorship Canada

You can sponsor your child for permanent residency if your child is born outside Canada. The same provision is available for adopted children too. The sponsor must be in Canada throughout the period of the sponsorship processing period.

Sponsors must:

• be either a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada
• support the sponsored person(s) and their dependants financially

Parents sponsorship

Canada’s Family Class immigration category allows Canadian citizens and permanent residents to sponsor their parent(s) or grandparent(s) through the Parent and Grandparent Program. Sponsored parents and grandparents can enjoy all the benefits of permanent residents of Canada. This includes the right to live and work anywhere in Canada and they also get access to publicly-funded health care and other services. Ultimately, sponsored parents and grandparents may become Canadian citizens.

Sponsors must:

• be either a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada;
• meet certain income requirements; and
• support the sponsored person(s) and their dependents financially
