This Visa is for Skilled Workers who wish to immigrate to Australia and choose to reside in a particular State or Territory of Australia.

The main highlight of this visa is you need to be sponsored by a state or territory. If you get state or territory nomination, you will get additional five points to your score and through that your overall points for Australian Immigration will increase and thereby may get invitation to apply for Australia permanent Residency.

A visa holder has two years commitment with the sponsoring state. Therefore this visa holder must live in that province for a minimum period of two years when they move permanently to Australia initially.

State or territory will nominate you if your occupation is in their short term skills list. Australian states like New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria and Western Australia and territories like Australian Capital Territory and Northern Territory have their own skilled occupation list and specific conditions for each and every occupation.

Minimum requirements:

You must:

• Be less than 45 years of age when you get invitation
• Be in the short term skills list
• Do skills assessment by the relevant assessing authority
• Have at least competent English, but it varies based on the occupation
• Score at least 65 points, it varies based on each state
• have applied for state or territory sponsorship and got their approval
• Be invited to apply for the visa by DHA.
• Pass the health and character test.
